What is a votive candle?
Votive candles are one of the smaller types of candles that you can get, meaning that they’re easy to switch up and change out. They’re taller than tealight candles, and have been created with a special bell-top design to allow the wax to melt fully and evenly, allowing for an even distribution of mild fragrance. Votives liquefy completely and because they don’t come in a contained cup, you will require a votive holder in order to burn them.
How big is a votive candle?
Votive candles are usually bigger in height and width than tealight candles, meaning that they have a longer burn time. How do I get candle wax out of the votive holder?
It’s a sad moment when your Votive Candle has burned down but it’s easy to get the last bit of wax out before you burn another candle. Simply wait until the holder has cooled and the wax has solidified, and then pop the holder into the refrigerator for about an hour. Gently remove the wax and metal wick clip. Be sure your holder has warmed back up to room temperature before you light the next candle.
